Pakistan's Test opener Imran Butt, who lost his place in the national side for not performing well with the bat, says that he will look different in 2022 by improving his game and will try to regain his lost place.

While talking to Geo News, Imran said: "I have to make a comeback in the national cricket team. I tried to do well in 2021, but I could not maintain the place, and now I have to make my place in the team."

"I am a professional cricketer, and I am focusing on my basics to make my game better," he added.

Imran Butt said that in the year 2022, he would improve his game and perform consistently.

"My goal is to be a part of the series that is going to be held in Pakistan in 2022. There will be very important series held in Pakistan next year, which is very good for Pakistan cricket," he concluded.

It should be noted that Imran lost his place for not performing well with the bat having scored just 178 runs in six Tests with the best score of 91.

He played his last Test match for the Pakistan cricket team against the West Indies in August. However, he could not join the team for the series against Bangladesh.
