One of the world's biggest online video games, Fortnite, suffered almost seven hours outage on Wednesday during the Winterfest event.

It should be noted that the hours-long outage came two weeks after the server issues, according to The Indian Express.

The popular online game just kick-started chapter 3 along with some prominent changes to the environment, but it started to pose issues to the players while logging in and seeking a match around 11am NY time.

Though on their official Twitter handle, Fortnite Status also informed that they are looking into solving out the issues.

"We are investigating login, matchmaking and other issues. We will update you when the issues are resolved," the tweet read.

During that period, the servers also remained off-line because of the stability issue, until around 7 p.m, as per Fortnite Status Twitter handle.

When the game was back online, Fornite Status on their official Twitter handle wrote: "Fortnite game servers are back online and the Winterfest continues."

"We appreciate everyone's understanding as we worked to resolve these issues and we'll have more details next week on what we're doing to help you make up for the lost time," the tweet added.
