Former wicket-keeper batsman of the Indian cricket team Syed Kirmani says it's important to have harmony to sort out the rift between India's Test captain Virat Kohli and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly.
"It's important to have harmony among one another," Kirmani told ANI. It's important to communicate before you take on an important decision. "Egos play a very big role in an individual's life, which shouldn't be there. Kohli is a powerful player. The selection committee and BCCI president [Sourav Ganguly] have their own power. It's important to have harmony to sort out all the issues."
Virat Kohli was removed from India's ODI captaincy on December 8 via a Twitter announcement, and Rohit Sharma was appointed India's ODI skipper.
Following the BCCI's announcement, Virat Kohli addressed a press conference and said that there was no prior communication between him and the BCCI about his removal from India ODI captaincy.
Kohli's other claim contradicted BCCI President Sourav Ganguly's claim, where he said that the BCCI told Kohli not to step down as India T20 captain despite India's dismal performance in the T20 World Cup.
