The President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sourav Ganguly's remarks have set him under fire as Twitterati have bashed the former cricketer, calling him "sexist".

At an event in Gurgaon, the former left-handed batter talked about Virat Kohli's attitude and said the Test captain's attitude is his favourite.

"I like Virat Kohli's attitude, but he fights a lot," said Ganguly.

Meanwhile, Ganguly was also asked how he manages stress with the workload as BCCI president.

"There's no stress in life. Only wife and girlfriend give stress," he said.

Ganguly's quote was shared by Circle of Cricket on Twitter, with the caption, "who agrees with Dada (Ganguly's nickname)?

In response, Twitterati lashed out at the BCCI chief.

A Twitter user, @Khumariyat posted a picture of a movie with a quote. 

"As a man, I would like to apologise for my gender's history."
