Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski scored twice to steer Bayern to a thrilling 3-2 victory over rivals Borussia Dortmund, also sending them top of Bundesliga with 34 points, four-points clear of second placed Dortmund.
While, in other match Bayer Leverkusen ripped apart Greuther Fuerth's defense to crush them by 7-1 as Patrik Schick scored four times in 27 minutes.
The win makes it their third in a row as Leverkusen climb to third on Bundesliga table, also taking unbeaten run to four consecutive league games.
Meanwhile, in the nail-biting clash at Westfalenstadion, Julian Brandit put Dortmund ahead in the fifth minute, but four minutes later Lewandowski opened his account to level the game.
A minute before the end of first-half, Kingsley Coman put Bayern ahead, but Dortmund drew again in the 48th minute.
After an almost 30 minute of counter-attacking football from both sides in order to take a lead, Bayern was given a penalty kick in the 77th minute in which Dortmund coach Marco Rose was sent off with a second booking for dissent following the penalty decision.
Lewandowski successfully converted the chance to put score his second goal of the match and 16th of the campaign.
The goal put Bayern 3-2 ahead and turned out to be the decisive factor.
