LAHORE: Vice-captain of Pakistan cricket team Shadab Khan said that he is excited to play at home against the West Indies after a long break.

The leg-spinner said that after having played several series abroad in the last few months, they get the opportunity to play in their own country in front of the crowd — which the team will enjoy and relish.

Shadab Khan said that it is good to hear that the crowd will be allowed at National Stadium in Karachi.

“We always feel happy to play in front of the crowd and we will try to win the series against the West Indies to make the fans happy,” Shadab said.

"There are six matches in nine days. We have a habit of playing back-to-back matches in recent times and there will be no pressure of playing back-to-back matches. Hopefully, it will be a good series," he added.

Vice-captain Shadab Khan, referring to the changes in the team, said that there were a lot of series being played, so now some players have been rested. And, a new combination is being tested against the West Indies.

He said that the West Indies team plays well in T20Is as they have experienced players in the team.

"I think there will be interesting matches in Pakistan and West Indies series," he concluded.
