Star batter Jos Buttler, who was England's top performer in the recently concluded T20 World Cup, believes that the team that best deals with the distractions around the Ashes series will play good cricket in the series.

"Around the Ashes, there are always certain things going on and the guys that can deal with the distractions an Ashes series throws up... is the team that's going to play best," he told reporters in an interview from England’s hotel.

On being asked about the possibility of the first Test shifting to Tasmania from Brisbane, the 31-year-old replied: “I find it tiring to talk about it when you don’t know."

He added that the change of venue doesn't concern him as the team is focused on the opening Test match of the series.

“That's not for me to worry about at the minute. There's a week to go until the first Test here and all our energies are focused on that," Buttler added.

England's warm-up match against the Lions was called off because of rain, with only 29 overs played.

England are scheduled to take on Australia in the first Test match of the Ashes series on December 8.
