A Bangladesh court has rejected a petition filed against the Pakistan cricket team for hoisting their national flag during practice at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
According to a Bangladeshi news agency, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Dhaka rejected the petition filed against the Pakistan team.
The risingdb reported that General Secretary of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Mancha Mohammad Al Mamun submitted the application with the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Bakar Siddiqui on Thursday for waving the flag in a practice session without government permission.
In the application, the names of all the squad members of Pakistan including the captain, coach, and manager of the team were included.
The petitioner had taken the position that the practice of hoisting the Pakistani flag was carried out at the academy ground of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium without the permission of the government.
The court, after hearing the arguments of the petitioner, rejected the petition filed against the Pakistan team.
