Former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan believes that Indian skipper Virat Kohli should have started the bowling attack with Jasprit Bumrah instead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the T20 World Cup clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday.

“They [India] could have gone for their trump card right up front rather than getting him [Jasprit Bumrah] into the game in the third over. Starting with him might have turned things around a bit," Zaheer Khan told Cricbuzz.

The speedster thinks that Bumrah was not properly utilized against Pakistan and if he started the bowling attack, things could have turned out differently for India.

“You have your plans before the game, but once you are in the game, you’ve just got to go with it - maybe change certain things that you had planned. Maybe you could have used Bumrah differently. By the time the game finished, you had under-utilized Bumrah," he added.

India take on New Zealand in their second match of the T20 World Cup on 31 October.
