Indian skipper Virat Kohli opened up about Pakistan and India’s decision to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, before the start of the big clash.
Indian team took a knee and Pakistani players placed their hands on their hearts before the first ball was bowled on Sunday in Dubai.
In a post-match press conference, Kohli touched upon the decision made by the managements of both the teams to show support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
"That was communicated to us by the management. The Pakistan team agreed to pay their tribute towards the same cause and then we accepted our side of things as well. So yeah, that's how it was decided,” he said.
On Sunday, Pakistan thrashed India by 10 wickets in their first T20 World Cup match as Babar and Rizwan powered the Green Shirts towards a swift victory through their unbeaten half-centuries.
