England all-rounder and power-hitter Liam Livingstone suffered a finger injury in Monday's warm-up match against India ahead of England’s ICC T20 World Cup campaign.

Due to it, there doubts over his availability for their World Cup opener against the West Indies this weekend.

Livingstone, known for his brutal-hitting has represented England in eight T20 international matches scoring 206 runs at an average of 34.33 and healthy strike-rate of 167.47 with a single century of 103 against the green shirts at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

Livingstone left the field with the little finger on his left hand swollen after he dropped a catch at deep midwicket during his teams’ seven-wicket defeat by India.

Livingstone was named in coach Chris Silverwood's squad for the World Cup as a replacement for Ben Stokes, who had taken an indefinite break from cricket to focus on his mental health as well as to recover from a second operation on a broken finger.

England will go head-to-head with New Zealand in their final warm-up match on October 20 in Abu Dhabi before starting their World Cup campaign against West Indies in Dubai on October 23.
