Pakistan to include senior players in playing XI for T20 World Cup

Pakistan will utilizing more experienced players for the T20 World Cup, including the key clash with India on October 24.

Speaking to Geo News, a source revealed on Tuesday that the management has decided to make use of the senior players with more experience for the mega-tournament.

"Pakistan has decided to go with a combination of senior and experienced cricketers in the clash against India,” said the source.

"Unless fitness issues creep up, the same combination that is playing in the warm-up matches will be seen in action against India," they shared.

It was further revealed that captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali are likely to be named in the playing XI.

Moreover, for Pakistan’s bowling attack, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hassan Ali and Haris Rauf will be picked.

Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim, on the other hand, are being considered as all-rounders for playing XI.
