Aqeel Khan thrashes Mudassir Murtaza to reach Sapphire National Tennis Championship

Top seed Aqeel Khan was given a stern competition by Mudassir Murtaza as he thumped him in a close match by 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Sapphire National Open Tennis Championship at the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association courts.

Mudassir’s brother Muzammil made it to semis with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Yousaf Khalil, Shoaib Khan defeated experienced Heera Ashiq 6-2, 7-5 while Huzaifa Abdul Rehman thrashed Mohamamad Abid 6-3, 7-5.
