Peshawar Falcons clinched the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa hockey league by thrashing Bannu Panthers by 2-1 in a nail-biting final encounter.
The first half of the final went goal less as both team’s failed to get through each other’s defense.
But the second-half of the final was full of attacking hockey.
Bannu Panthers scored the goal and took a 1-0 lead over Peshawar. While in the next-quarter Peshawar equaled the game at 1-1.
The last-quarter saw some amazing attacking hockey displays and Peshawar held their nerves by scoring the winning goal in dying moments of the of the game to clinch the finale by 2-1.
The Peshawar fans were jubilant and performed the traditional ‘bhangra’.
All of the the Kyhber Pakhtuwa Hockey action was telecasted live on Pakistan’s first sports channel Geo Super.
