The T20 World Cup squad has been asked to limit the use of social media ahead of the tournament in order to eradicate any possibility of interactions with bookies.

The team was shown an anti-corruption lecture informing them how bookies get access to players as well as, the case of South Africa’s Gulam Bodi was also discussed and why he was given a five-year sentence.

After massive fixing cases the ICC and other boards ramped up measures to prevent this causing bookies to take to social media to reach players.

As a result, players have been asked to immediately report to the board if any bookie approaches them or if any player is involved in any controversial thing.
