Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is looking to kick off the Men in Green's opening T20 World Cup campaign, against arch rivals India. with optimism.
During a virtual press conference, Babar said that the contest against India has its different pressure and intensity.
"We should focus on our all-important clash against India and bring plans to handle the pressure against India as well as other important matches so we can lift this year’s world cup trophy," he said.
"We are giving our best short in preparing ourselves for the mega-event as we are playing practice matches."
The stylish batsman also spoke about the opening pair issue.
"Our plan is to keep the opening combination same and we may also play two spinners but it depends upon the conditions in UAE. We have a lot of exposure on UAE pitches but still we have to give our best."
The skipper also touched upon the importance of having senior players in the squad.
"Senior players like Shoaib Malik have a wealth of experience and will bring a different dimension to our squad as juniors will benefit tremendously."
