Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started search for a new chief executive officer after Wasim Khan tendered his resignation in September, four months before the end of his contract.
Currently, COO Salman Naseer is working as the acting CEO.
As per sources, Khan stepped down from the post due to differences between him and Chairman Ramiz Raja over issues of authority.
Sources further said that Raja is planning to bring a low-profile and moderately-paid CEO as during his tenure the person holding the post will have little authority.
For this purpose, PCB has issued an advertisement to find suitable and capable candidates for the post, who can apply before October 27.
