Faf Du Plessis, Sunil Narine, and Moeen Ali have opted to feature in the eighth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) instead of playing for the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

All three players have joined Comilla Victorians, who are the two-time Champions of the BPL.

Nafisa Kamal, who is the managing director of Comilla Victorians, on Tuesday, announced they had signed Moeen Ali for the Comilla Victorians team.

“The experienced England all-rounder is all set to participate in the competition for the first time in nine years as he has joined the Comilla Victorians," she said, according to News18.

"We have confirmed Sunil Narine, Faf du Plessis, and Moeen Ali," Kamal said.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had announced that the BPL is all set to start on January 20 but the tournament is clashing with the PSL.

The PSL is scheduled to kick off from January 27.

However, Sheikh Sohel, a BPL governing council member, said that the league is not worried about the PSL. Instead, he said it is concerned more about the coronavirus pandemic and its consequences.

Six franchises will clash with each other in the BPL, with each team likely to have three foreign players.
