Pakistan vs West Indies: Pakistani players will be tested for COVID-19 after quarantining for a day

Pakistan’s Test squad reached Barbados on Tuesday ahead of their two-match series against West Indies, that is starting from August 12.

The players will be tested for COVID-19 after quarantining for a day, after which they will be permitted to hit the field, given their test results come back negative.

Abid Ali, Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam, Imran Butt, Muhammad Abbass, Naseem Shah, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Shahnawaz Dhani, Yasir Shah, and Zahid Mahmood are included in Pakistan’s test squad, while the rest of players are already in the Caribbean for the T20 series that is starting from July 28 [tomorrow].

Here is the complete schedule:

• July 28: 1st match at Kensington Oval

• July 31: 2nd match at Guyana National Stadium

• August 1: 3rd match at Guyana National Stadium

• August 3: 4th match at Guyana National Stadium

• August 12-16: 1st Test at Sabina Park

• August 20-24: 2nd Test at Sabina Park
