KARACHI: Mohammad Afzal outsmarted defending champion and fourth seed Shahid Aftab on the third day of the Jubilee Insurance 37th National Snooker Championship 2012 here at the Karachi Gymkhana on Friday.
Afzal displayed awesome confidence to down the experienced Shahid 4-3 with the scores of 59-32, 29-71, 39-76, 50-62, 61-41, 71-62, 71-64 after a grueling seven-frame encounter.
