The IPL 2024 playoffs qualification scenarios have added another twist after Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Punjab Kings by 60 runs in Dharamsala.

Kolkata Knight Riders lead the IPL 2024 points table with 16 points from 11 matches. Rajasthan Royals have the same number of points from the same number of games, but their net run rate is lower than KKR's, placing them 2nd.

Sunrisers Hyderabad currently have the third position with 14 points. The Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants are all currently tied on 12 points.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians are currently in 8th place in the table with 8 points from 12 matches, but they have been eliminated.

Hardik Pandya's men can only reach a maximum of 12 points, which is not sufficient for qualification. Punjab Kings have the same story after tonight's loss can have a maximum of 12 points.

Kolkata Knight Riders (16 points)

Kolkata Knight Riders are currently leading the points table and are in a favourable position to secure a playoff spot.

They need just one more win in their next three games to solidify their position. If they secure a victory, they will reach 18 points, putting them on par with three other teams.

Rajasthan Royals (16 points)

Rajasthan Royals currently hold the second position in the points table. They are in a strong position but need one more win from their next three games to confirm their spot in the playoffs.

Similar to Kolkata Knight Riders, a win would see them reach 18 points, alongside three other teams.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (14 points)

Sunrisers Hyderabad have 14 points in 12 matches. The forthcoming match against Gujarat Titans holds significant importance for SRH, as a victory would all but secure their qualification.

Chennai Super Kings (12 points)

Chennai Super Kings are positioned fourth in the points table. They require three wins in their remaining three matches to confirm their place in the playoffs.

They could also reach the playoffs with two wins or even just one win, depending on the outcomes of other teams' matches.

Delhi Capitals (12 points)

Delhi Capitals are currently fifth in the points table. While they can achieve a maximum of 16 points if they win all their remaining matches, their playoff qualification remains uncertain due to their current position.

Lucknow Super Giants (12 points)

Lucknow Super Giants are positioned six in the points table. They need to win all two of their remaining matches to guarantee a playoff spot.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (10 points)

RCB have won the last four games but they need to win their last two games. They can reach 14 points and stay in contention. A better Net Run Rate (NRR) also being crucial for RCB while depending on the results of the others.

Gujarat Titans (8 points)

Gujarat Titans need to win all three games to reach 14 points. They must win all their remaining matches to stay in contention while depending on others results.
