Kylian Mbappe's farewell ceremony at Paris Saint Germain is set to be on Sunday at the Parc des Princes, according to French newspaper L'Équipe.

The star striker, who was part of the side that went down to Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League semi-final on Tuesday, is likely to join Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer.

"I tried to help my team as best as I could but I didn't do enough," Mbappe said after the match.

"I'm the guy who should score goals and be decisive. When things are good, I take all the limelight and when they are not, you have to take the shadow.

"That's not a problem. The first one who should have scored tonight was me. That's life and we have to move on, me and the team."

Earlier, it was reported that Real Madrid is not concerned that the arrival of Mbappe will affect the Spanish club’s dressing room.

According to Spanish news outlet Relevo, no one at Real Madrid is of the opinion that Mbappe will ruin the dressing room’s atmosphere.

The report added that the situation is the complete opposite in the dressing room as they are counting the days to welcome the French star at the club.

Mbappe is expected to complete his long-awaited move to Real Madrid in the summer after reportedly informing PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi that he will leave the club after the end of the season as a free agent.

The Frenchman’s move to Madrid is just a matter of time now as multiple outlets have reported that the official deal will be announced as soon as final details are agreed upon between the two sides.

It must be noted that Madrid have been trying to sign Mbappe since his AS Monaco days in 2017-18 but the player decided to join PSG on a €180 million deal.

The deal was likely to happen last summer after the 25-year-old sent a letter to the French club saying that he would not extend his contract till 2025.
