Pakistan’s Tekken star Arslan Ash suffered a major setback on Wednesday when he was forced to miss the prestigious EVO Japan 2024.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Arslan announced that there will be no Pakistani gamers at EVO Japan this year due to visa issues.

It must be noted that Arslan is an undisputed four-time EVO champion and is considered the best Tekken player in the world.

Arslan became the only player in the world to win the prestigious event four times in Tekken 7. He won the title in Japan and Las Vegas in 2019 and repeated the same feat last year as well.

He was also awarded the best E-Player of 2019 by EPSN.

Arslan is also a CEO 2021 Champion and the 2022 Combo Breaker Tekken 7 tournament winner, where he grabbed the title after defeating all of his 10 opponents.

Arslan recently had made his country proud once again after winning another international event. He clinched the Frag Fest Spring 2024 Tekken 8 LAN Tournament, which was held in Pomona, California, United States. Arslan defeated Dr.theJAKEMAN in the grand final 3-0.

According to the tournament’s website, the Evolution Championship Series (EVO) is the longest running fighting game tournament in history. Fighting game players from around the world gather to compete against each other under fair rules and in a spirit of competition, using the best skills they have honed over the years to determine who will be crowned champion.

The event is set to run from April 27-29 in Tokyo.
