Pakistan’s “Football Factory” is set to train with Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund, in a 12-day training program, they confirmed in a social media post on Saturday.

Football Factory is a grassroots football development program based in Islamabad which is committed to the development of the sport in Pakistan through its academy and training programs.

In a 12-day training program with Dortmund, the Football Factory is determined to learn from Dortmund’s youth development program and will be using their experience in Germany to promote football in Pakistan further.

“We’re beyond excited to share that footballfactorypk is making history as the first-ever from Pakistan to embark on a 12-day training camp with Dortmund BvB in Germany,” Football Factory posted on their Instagram account.

“Being invited by BvB for an exclusive 12-day training camp is a testament to our dedication and hard work in bringing value to the game in Pakistan.

“Excited to learn from Dortmund’s renowned youth development program and bring back invaluable experiences to Pakistan. A big salute to our founder faizan.sameer for making this happen.”

Remember, Borussia Dortmund is one the most successful clubs in Germany as they have won the league title eight times in their history. Other than the Bundesliga title, they have also won the DFB Pokal, a league cup, five times throughout their history.

Some of the biggest names have played at the German club. Noteworthy names like Marco Reus, Jadon Sancho, Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, Mario Gotze, Ousmane Dembele, Christian Pulisic, Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gundogan and others have played with the Black and Yellows.

They are currently in the UEFA Champions League 2023/24 semi-finals where they will take on Paris Saint-Germain. Dortmund beat Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the quarter-final in two breathtaking encounters.

They finished as the runner-ups in the 2013 Champions League where they lost to Bayern Munich courtesy of a late winner by Arjen Robben at England’s Iconic Wembley Stadium.
