Anthony Joshua will keep a close eye on Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois if they square off on June 1.

According to numerous reports, the Croatian IBF mandatory challenger is set to jeopardise his position by taking on the young Brit in Saudi Arabia this summer.

It is reported that this bout will be part of an extensive card featuring Dmitry Bivol vs Artur Beterbiev, Deontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang, and the planned Queensberry-Matchroom 5 vs 5 event.

This will be of particular interest to Joshua, as he could potentially face the victor for a vacant heavyweight world title.

Of course, all four belts will be up for grabs when Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk clash to determine an undisputed champion on May 18.

However, it is known that following that match, the IBF will finally mandate their overdue mandatory fight.

Hrgovic secured his position as their mandatory challenger by defeating Zhilei Zhang in 2022 and has been patiently waiting for his opportunity ever since.

However, with Fury and Usyk agreeing to a two-way guaranteed rematch clause, it is anticipated that the winner will likely relinquish the IBF belt and only carry the WBA, WBC, and WBO titles into the rematch.

This would prompt the IBF to instruct Hrgovic to face the next highest available contender for the vacant heavyweight world title, which currently is Joshua.
