The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja, promised 'new cricket' in the second Test in Multan after England beat the hosts by 74 runs in the opening clash at the Pindi Cricket Stadium today.
The touring group defeated Pakistan by bowling them out for 268 runs in the second innings.
Pakistan began the fifth and final day on 80-2 after being set a 343-run winning target, but Ollie Robinson and James Anderson each claimed four wickets to put an end to the home team's hopes.
However, Raja still has high hopes despite England's aggressive and brave approach in the first Test.
"Pakistan team will compete against England in Multan. A new cricket will be seen in Multan," he said during a ceremony at the Prime Minister's House in Islamabad.
Since Stokes and McCullum were hired earlier this year, thisseries isEngland's first overseas assignment.
With a new, aggressive approach, the pair defeated South Africa, New Zealand, and India in six of their seven Test matches.
They went above and beyond that by crushing Pakistan's bowling on a flat surface and outclassing them with their clever bowling.
Moreover, the former cricketer credited England coach Brendon McCullum for the new approach.
"The approach of the England team changed with the arrival of Brendon McCullum. The credit for the English team's win goes to the coach," he added.
The two sides will take on each other in the second Test at the Multan Cricket Stadium from 9-13 December.
